The flying crowbar, atomic cannon, Davy Crockett, and the moon laser are all examples of what seemed like a good idea at the time. We all watched Star Wars, Planet of the Apes, and got sober and realized that wasn't true. But let's take a look at some of these absolutely ridiculous ideas and talk about the ones that were a little bit closer to being real than fiction.
